Die "zweibalkige Egge zum Ausdünnen junger Saaten" wurde 1846 in der Hohenheimer Ackergerätefabrik nach einem Entwurf von Heinrich Wilhelm von Pabst hergestellt. Dieser war von 1845 bis 1850 Direktor der Landwirtschaftlichen Akademie Hohenheim.
